Drilling steel is hard work. The Hookdrill makes drilling steel easy. It works off of a fulcrum and uses leverage to drive the bit through the steel. Not only does the Hook pull the metal to you, but it also pushes the bit at the same time. When you use the Hookdrill for the first time you will notice how easy it is to use. You will notice that you don’t have to push anymore. You will drill so easy that you will never want to drill the old way again. You can drill Steel up to 1/2 inch with a 1/2 bit. The Hookdrill, drills stainless steel easy. I Have even drilled titanium, with no problem. In the picture above, you see the Hookdrill created 300 pounds of force. There is no other portable drill press that can create that force. You will only use up to 200 pounds at the most.
The Hookdrill will fit in a holster if your climbing a ladder. The Hook will not get in the way when you pull it out. It is the most affordable portable drill press on the market. This tool allows you to drill three times faster than drilling the old way. You can drill truck frames to install hitches or other accessories. You can drill I beams to attach floors or purlin. The Hookdrill is designed to drill up to half inch steel with a 1/2 bit. From where you Hook on to you can drill up to 17 inches away, as seen in the picture.

You can use the tool to drill out exhaust bolts. It will drill pipe. Use it with step bits, hole saws, and regular bits. Drill bits will last longer since it doesn’t just spin for no reason.
There are a few ways to adjust the Hook to drill a straight hole. 1 When you're drilling and you notice the drill is not straight you turn the drill off, lean drill forward so the bar can slide in and relock then when drill is straight, finish drilling. 2 As your drilling, if you notice the drill is not straight, ease up on the drill and slide the Hook farther away from you until drill is straight and finish drilling.
